Benefits & Uses of Essential Oils and Hyaluronic Acid on Your Skin

    Hi beautiful friends!

My mum and I are truly beyond excited and happy to finally share with you our new project (and baby) that we have been working on for a while, and that is the introduction of our brand new Pure Glow Grape Seed Essential Oil with Hyaluronic Acid, and the Pure Glow Hydrating Cream with Aloe, Vitamin E, Essential Oils and Hyaluronic Acid!

As you may know, skincare is something that both my mum and I are truly, deeply passionate about. We have shared many tips in this playlist here, and I also have many more videos on skincare here. For me, making time to do my skincare routine every morning and evening is something I don’t ever go a day without- it’s one of my favourite ways to practice self-care, and it doesn’t mean I use a lot of products either. In fact, the simpler, the better. As long as I cleanse my skin, I feel refreshed, taken care of, and that is a vital part of self-love. When you are filled with love, only can you then give more love to others.

These two new versions of our previous Grape Seed Essential Oil and Night Hydrating Cream (which are also still available on our ETSY shop), have a new recipe that my mum has been perfecting day in and out, with the added bonus of new essential oils, as well as the almighty hyaluronic acid.

In this post, I’d love to highlight some incredible benefits and uses of essential oils and hyaluronic acid on your skin. We didn’t just create these products for the ‘sake of business’; we have created them because not only do we use them ourselves, but it’s something we both truly believe in and know that can enhance your skin health too. Skin care of course always begins with the inside, such as nourishing your mind, body and soul, and letting go of beliefs that don’t support what you want to manifest, but using genuine products like these can most definitely support you even more with leaving your skin glowing, radiant and feeling healthy.

Let’s start off with essential oils.

Essential oils are like mother nature’s gift and ultimate gem given to us to use in so many ways for healing, optimising health, and increasing our wellbeing. Each oil also has it’s own specific benefits for certain areas of healing, which I can highly recommend that you can do some research on if you’re interested. For example, I often use rosemary essential oil in my hair as a mask to promote hair growth and blood circulation.

For this post, I’ll be mainly focusing on its benefits for skincare, but some other areas I use essential oils in include diffusing, aromatherapy, cleaning, natural fragrance, and cooking.

Both the Grape Seed Essential Oil and Hydrating Cream contain a unique blend of different high quality essential oils, such as:

    • Grape Seed oil
    • Jojoba Oil
    • Rosehip Oil
    • Avocado Essential Oil
    • Sweet Almond Oil
    • Sweet Orange Oil
    • Geranium Oil
    • Lavender Essential Oil
    • Compound Plant Essential Oil

These essential oils have all been diluted, so it is completely safe to use and apply both products directly to your face. The benefits of adding essential oil to skincare and gently massaging it evenly into your skin include:

    • Activating its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties
    • Helping to reduce pigmentation
    • Softening fine lines and wrinkles
    • Locking moisture in your skin, leaving it soft and glowing
    • Helping to restore your skin’s youthfulness
    • Promoting radiant skin

The Grape Seed Essential Oil can also be used as a natural makeup remover, which is the only thing I use to take off my makeup if I wear it in a day.

The best part it, because it is completely natural, it is suitable for ALL skin types- whether you have acne-prone, oily, dry, sensitive, or combination skin, it works wonders. Yep, even for oily skin! It does sound counter-intuitive, but the essential oils help to reduce clogged pores and heal acne.

Now, you may be wondering, what is hyaluronic acid?

Firstly, don’t be put off by the word ‘acid’ :).

Hyaluronic acid is actually a vital, naturally-occurring substance that is found in the skin to keep it plump, hydrated, healthy and moisturised. It’s part of the youth-supporting matrix of the skin that encourages skin-cell renewal, giving it the ‘youthful’ and radiant look, and bouncy-ness.

Although this gel-like molecule is naturally produced by the body, one third of it does get degraded on a daily basis, and we produce less as we age. By applying hyaluronic acid to your skin, you receive more benefits and and replenish the amount that is degraded daily. It adds up over time, and is a part of the reason how my mum maintains her ‘youthful’ skin.

Also, despite the word ‘acid’, it is a completely safe substance: as mentioned, it is a naturally-produced substance of the skin, so it does not strip the skin in any way. It is very gentle for all skin types.

Scientific studies have shown the powerful benefits of using hyaluronic acid on the skin, which include:

    • Improving skin hydration
    • Improving the production of collagen
    • Shielding against free-radicals
    • Maintaining skin elasticity
    • Activating anti-inflammatory properties that help with wound healing
    • Softening and smoothing the skin
    • Working especially well to moisturise dehydrated skin

These are some of the many reasons why my mum included essential oils and hyaluronic acid in our brand new skincare. For both products, they are suitable for all skin types, ready to use immediately, sulphate free, and handmade with love, care and our passion for high quality skin care using ingredients provided by Mother Earth.

To use the Grape Seed Essential Oil:

    • Apply a few drops to your fingers, and gently massage evenly into all areas of your face until absorbed.
    • You can use this on a daily basis, and I recommend once in the morning and once in the evening after cleansing your skin.
    • This also boosts the absorption of the Pure Glow Hydrating Cream. After using the Hydrating Cream, apply this essential oil to lock in the moisture, and to hydrate the skin.
    • This method promotes the skin to stay moisturised for 24-48 hours, even in a dry climate.

    To use the Hydrating Cream:

    • Apply a desired amount to your fingers (I recommend 1 tsp) and gently massage evenly into all areas of your face and neck.
    • You can use this on a daily basis, and I recommend once in the morning and once in the evening for optimal results.
    • You can pair with the Pure Glow Grape Seed Essential Oil for best use and absorption.

I hope that you found this post helpful, and learned something new about essential oils and hyaluronic acid. Creating these new skincare products have been an amazing learning experience for both my mum and I, and we are beyond excited and grateful to now share it with the world.

You can find it on my ETSY shop here.

Lastly, I just wanted to remind you that you are beautiful just as you are. Sure, using genuine things like skincare, makeup, and clothes, can amplify your external beauty, but true beauty always comes from the inside and radiates out of you from your heart. When you are kind, loving, confident, accepting, peaceful, being purposeful, using your gifts, and aligned with your Higher Self, this is the most powerful beauty within all of us that we can access at any time. Our beauty is unique, it’s our essence, it’s how we were born. It’s beyond our physical appearance. When we feel radically beautiful, we raise the vibration of the world, and remember that it’s something no one can take away from you. Look around you, and notice the beauty in everything. And don’t forget to notice that you are just as beautiful, created perfectly by the divine and here to shine and share it. Let’s celebrate each other’s beauty, and always know that just by being born, you make the world a beautiful place.

    Take care of yourself <3

    Sending lots of love,

    Jasmine
